Spring is just around the corner, but why not get started early with your garden? Indoor (and outdoor) herb gardens are not only a new DIY trend but a very practical one too and easy to maintain. They provide fresh produce and flavor for the food we cook at home, they brighten up any space, they smell amazing, and they improve indoor air quality. There is nothing better than picking fresh herbs right in your own home. Take a look at these creative ideas to hang and display your herb garden...

Mason jars make great planters for your indoor herb garden. Be sure to place rocks at the bottom of the jar in case of over watering; the water will rest at the bottom and not in the soil.

Or better yet, try this handy DIY trick, utilizing clean applesauce plastic containers, wood craft sticks, soil, and water. This is ingenious! Watch this video:
